Head of Department – Obstetrics & Gynaecology Dr. Mangala Ramachandra is the Head of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and brings with her over 40 years of experience in the field. She has served as a teacher and mentor in esteemed institutions such as Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore and St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, playing a pivotal role in training budding gynaecologists and medical trainees. Over the years, she has conducted numerous workshops and CMEs, contributing significantly to academic and clinical excellence in the discipline. She has also participated in Grand Rounds and M&M meetings at LA County USC Hospital, one of the premier hospitals in the USA. This international exposure has enriched her clinical perspective and equipped her with a deep understanding of global management protocols in obstetrics and gynaecology. Professional Qualifications Dr. Mangala earned her MBBS, DGO, and MD (OBG) from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, with a brilliant academic record. She secured first rank in MD (OBG) and topped the university in Internal Medicine during her final year medical examination. Her research on Gestational Diabetes in India was widely acclaimed and published in the prestigious International Journal of Diabetes.
