Dr. Neeraj Awasthy

Dr. Neeraj Awasthy is the Director of Paediatric Cardiology at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi, with over 20 years of experience in the field of paediatric cardiology. He completed his MBBS from the University of Delhi in 1999, followed by an MD in Paediatrics from the University of Delhi in 2004. He further specialized in paediatric cardiology by earning a Fellowship of the National Board (FNB) in Paediatric Cardiology from the National Board of Examinations in 2009. Dr. Awasthy is a regular faculty member at numerous national and international conferences and serves on the reviewer boards of several reputed medical journals. He has authored and co-authored more than 120 scientific publications. His areas of expertise include paediatric cardiac interventions such as PDA, ASD, VSD, RSOV, and preterm PDA device closures; balloon valvoplasty; stenting procedures; management of pulmonary arterial hypertension; paediatric cardiac imaging, including echocardiography; foetal cardiology; paediatric cardiomyopathies; grown-up congenital heart disease (GUCH); neonatal cardiac interventions; cardiac surgery support; and postoperative cardiac care.
