Dr. Karthik K. Raichurkar is a renowned Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) and Liver Transplant Surgeon with over 18 years of experience in managing complex liver diseases and performing advanced liver transplant procedures. He is highly regarded for his expertise in both living donor and deceased donor liver transplantation, as well as complex hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgeries.
He completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Mysuru in 2006, followed by MS in General Surgery from JIPMER, Puducherry in 2011. To further specialize, he pursued GI Surgery training at AIIMS, New Delhi, completing it in 2016. He subsequently underwent advanced Liver Transplant Surgery training at Apollo Hospital, Chennai, completing the program in 2018.
Dr. Raichurkar is proficient in managing complex HPB conditions and is well-versed in advanced surgical techniques, including minimally invasive and robotic HPB surgeries. In addition to liver transplantation, he is also skilled in renal transplantation procedures. He has made significant academic contributions through scientific presentations and publications in reputed medical journals and is an active member of the Liver Transplant Society of India (LTSI).
