Dr. Srivatsa Lokeshwaran is a highly experienced Pulmonologist and Interventional Pulmonology Specialist with over 17 years of clinical expertise in advanced respiratory care. His key areas of excellence include interventional pulmonology, lung transplantation, airway diseases, interstitial lung diseases (ILD),pulmonary fibrosis, and sleep medicine.
His clinical practice is firmly grounded in evidence-based medicine, and he consistently keeps pace with the latest global advancements in respiratory diagnostics and therapies.
Internationally trained, Dr. Srivatsa has worked closely with world-renowned pulmonologists at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore, where he gained advanced expertise in airway and pleural interventions. During his tenure, he led specialised asthma and airway disease clinics, focusing on asthma phenotyping and targeted biologic therapies.
Dr. Srivatsa was a key member of the team that performed Karnataka’s first-ever bronchial thermoplasty for patients with advanced asthma. He is also credited as the transplant physician on the multidisciplinary team that successfully carried out the first bilateral lung transplant in Karnataka for a patient with post-COVID pulmonary fibrosis.
With over a decade of experience in performing complex airway and pleural procedures, Dr. Srivatsa has successfully completed multiple lung transplant procedures and remains actively involved in running advanced lung transplant and asthma clinics. He also leads a state-of-the-art Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) clinic, supported by one of the very few comprehensive ILD multidisciplinary teams in the country.
